Now as to Samuel, why did he not adopt Rab's interpretation [of the Mishnaic term <i>MAB'EH</i>]? — He may object: If you were to assume that it denotes Man, the question would arise, is not Man explicitly dealt with [in the subsequent Mishnah]: 'Mu'ad cattle and cattle doing damage on the plaintiff's premises and Man'?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' V. infra 15b.
